Creating lifelong musicians.
A note from your teacher.
Starting your journey with learning an instrument is an exciting process. Learning takes time and while some may have the ability to learn quickly, most will struggle at times to understand the various techniques, music theory, and note reading that instruments require. Individual and group lessons provide learning opportunities that you might not get if you were working on your own or with online video instruction. By learning from a teacher in a one-on-one or small group setting, you will have the advantage of specific instruction tailored to your needs and learning style.

Quick FAQs
What age do I teach?
I teach formal lessons to ages 7 to adults, but depending your child, I will start formal lessons earlier if your child is ready. I also teach an introductory music class for ages 3 to 6 that includes games, singing, exploring instruments, and music notation.
Can you learn as an older teen or adult?
Your ability to learn how to play an instrument continues into adulthood. Ability isn’t the question, time is a more relevant issue when it comes to learning to play an instrument as an adult. Your lessons may differ to that of an early learner with more ability to self-teach as instruction and terms become easier to follow. There is no limit to how much you can learn or how far you’d like to take your new musical talent.
What will lessons look like for my child?
Each lesson is tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, following specific steps to ensure the highest quality experience. The first five minutes are dedicated to reviewing the student’s progress and evaluating the effectiveness of the previous week’s lesson. This session serves as a foundation for planning the current lesson while assessing what the student requires. Students then engage in playing and refining their skills, ensuring they can confidently perform the pieces they practiced throughout the week, with progress tracked book by book according to the lesson plan. Finally, a personalized lesson plan is developed during the session, detailing precise exercises, techniques, theoretical concepts, musical selections, and practice time to guide students during their independent practice at home.
